Recently, I have read the book, Artemis Fowl: . This is a story about A young boy named Artemis Fowl, who recently discovered the existence of faeries. In the beginning, he tricks a faerie into giving up their “book” which describes their entire culture, and laws. Artemis uses this book in order to trap another faerie, and get gold for ransom. After Artemis catches the faerie, he finds that the faerie technology is way more advanced, and that he’ll need to improve his security, in order to keep the faeries out, so he can receive his ransom. To do this, he uses his massive bodyguard “Butler” and some stolen faerie technology. Following, the perspective switches to the faerie point of view, it talks about getting ransom, and also how they could get their faerie out. As they are getting ready, the faerie commander (Root) has came up with many strategies, although he did not want to try to kill Artemis. Behind the scenes, we see another commander (Cudgeon) plotting against Root, so that they can kill Artemis, and just take their faerie back, without having to give Artemis their ransom. As the story progresses, the faeries strongly underestimate the intellect of Artemis Fowl as their S.W.A.T. team fails at an attempt to capture the faerie back. After, Commander Root decides that he will ask a dwarf convict to tunnel under the manor, and retrieve the faerie. What will happen next?
